We're excited to announce that we've been awarded $100,000 from The Andy Warhol Foundation from the Visual Arts for our artist-organized programs. This is an increase from the last time they funded our programs three years ago and is separate from, and in addition to, the foundation's generous support of our regional regranting program, Wherewithal Grants.
Rachel Bers, the Foundation's Program Director, writes, “We are pleased to support Washington Project for the Arts and its efforts to center artists as co-creators of both its public programs and its organizational structure. By inviting artists to conceive and curate everything from exhibitions to residencies and symposia, WPA ensures that they are setting the agenda for the conversations — in and beyond the art world — that affect them the most.”
Thank you Warhol Foundation for your ongoing support and belief in our mission!
