WPA stands in solidarity with protestors in DC and elsewhere. In consideration of this moment, we are postponing our HIGH FREQUENCY benefit auction and virtual kickoff party until further notice. Our mission is to support a world where artists can live, work, and flourish. Central to this is a society free of systemic racism and racial injustice. This is a moment when the larger concerns of our community, specifically those of our Black friends and colleagues, must be prioritized.
As a staff, we are reflecting on the ways we can best care for our artist community. The postponement of the auction is the first step. We will update you in the days to come on our next constructive actions. We recommend supporting local organizers who are on the ground, including Black Lives Matter DC and the local chapter of BYP100.
