WPA is pleased to partner with the Creative Time Summit DC to present a campaign rally and performance in support of our current project SHELDON FOR DC.
Running to be DC's first Minister of Culture, the candidate -- an artist named simply Sheldon -- will hold a breakfast rally for guests of the Creative Time Summit. Artists, activists, and anyone who recognizes the value an artist might bring to this position are invited to attend. Sheldon's campaign platform calls for a greater recognition of local culture (e.g. Go Go music), increased investment in local artists, and an enhanced commitment to STEAM initiatives.
For more information about SHELDON FOR DC please visit the campaign website at www.sheldon4dc.org.
The event is presented in conjunction with the 2016 Creative Time Summit which takes place in Washington, DC October 14-16, 2016. More information available at: http://creativetime.org/summit/.
