Heidi Neilson and Douglas Paulson will discuss their research for the ongoing Menu for Mars initiative. They will unseal pouches of vacuum-sealed and powdered ingredients, specially prepared by the artists to make the long journey to Mars, and invite the audience to cook and taste their experimental recipes.


The Menu for Mars Supper Club is a Flux Factory educational initiative. Over the last year, the Menu for Mars Supper Club met monthly with guest experts over dinner to consider how the circumstances on Mars would affect colonists' food--and their physical, cultural, and psychological needs. The Menu for Mars Kitchen culminates these discussions and related research.
