"Sapo" is the Tule word for "Frog" (Kuna Indians). This ladder tells a story about an indigenious frog and the meeting of a stranger who becomes accepted by the frog symbolically for, ultimately, the tribe. The story is burned into the word in Tule dialog between the frog and the stranger. The ladder is embellished with symbols that support the individuals talking in the story.
