Ode to Matisse II (2017)

Fused, painted, and fired glass on glass. As many artists, I celebrate and am influenced by notable artists that have gone before me. Matisse's work has inspired me on many levels; I love his use of color, shape, content, and feel a joyfulness in his work. Creating my "take" on some of his works, gives me pleasure and helps me understand some of his creativity.
