Description

Through the representation of a homeless man, this painting seeks to remind that humility is a virtue that has everlasting rewards. Paris was selected as the background city (the figure is hunched in a grotto overlooking the city) as it is the City of Light, a symbol of a better life to come. Graffitied onto the angel wings are references to biblical verses that emphasize the virtue of humility. The symbol "K of K (reversed)" which appears on the iron gate and symbolizes (King of Kings) appears painted by the homeless man.
