The painting "Dolce et Decorum est, Pro Patria Mori", 71"x78", oil on canvas honors World War I poet, Wilfred Owen and his poem of the same title. I was inspired by found antique photos of young WW1 soldiers and boys posing as soldiers. The poem and painting is a poignant reminder of the tragedy of war, the power of propaganda and its influence on children and youths. The painting is not available for sale via the internet
