As vehicles rumble overhead, the Gwynns Falls flows toward the harbor in Carroll Park in Southwest Baltimore. The majestic columns and shaft of light reminded me of 18th-century Piranesi prints of Roman ruins. This is a photograph which was hand-colored within Photoshop, then printed. The style is inspired by Piranesi's famous 18th-century etchings of overgrown Roman ruins.
