Description

Photographic studies that capture the texture, color and line of invasive vine growth at a rusty door leading to a guard tower above the over 30-foot massive stone walls of the Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia, PA. Eastern State Penitentiary opened in 1829 and operated continually until 1971. Allowed to deteriorate until the late 1980s, today it is preserved at a safe state of decay and open to the public.
