When I was young, my mom told me to never get too close to the cliff edge, because the waves pounded holes into the cliffs. Chunks of Sunset Cliff fell off with little warning.
This warning stuck with me as an image. Is is related to two series: One, memories from my childhood in California. The other, examines earthquakes and rock formations.
