Full Artist's statement

If there is a line that divides “fine art” and “cartooning” most of my art tends to sit directly on top of it, veering to one side or the other depending on the piece. For my fine art work, I tend to draw stream-of-conscious style, based on imagery both observed and imagined. In these pieces, the motifs of cartoons (such as thought balloons and panels) are not used to convey a narrative, but to illustrate the confusion and contradictions of one's own thoughts and impulses.
