I'm painting a continuing acrylic series I call "Rust Town." Each work shows a different and exaggerated facet, wryly drawn with a wink and a dry smile, of the culture of small-town rural America. The gentleman in this painting is enjoying a smoke as he studies his favorite car and dreams of the day when he will race it again.
