Laundry Day in Rust Town with Bessie Mae Moocho (2009)

I'm painting a continuing acrylic series I call "Rust Town." Each work shows a different and exaggerated facet, wryly drawn with a wink and a dry smile, of the culture of small-town rural America. Bessie Mae Moocho, a resident of Rust Town with her one-room cabin in the background, is hanging out the warsh as she holds a clothespin in her mouth.
